Look What Level 7 Motorsports Did to This C10 Chevy Truck!

Jesse Vaughn, owner of Level 7 Motorsports in Marion, Ill., has performed countless LS swaps, but never one like this. The 33-year-old gearhead wanted a versatile vehicle, something that would be right at home at a drag race, a car show, an autocross, or just cruising the streets of southern Illinois. What he created meets every goal and more, a square-body '78 C10 shop truck with a supercharged 6.0L LS engine for power. This beast is controlled by a Holley Dominator ECU, fed by a drop-in retro-fit Holley fuel pump, and also has a billet inline fuel filter from Holley. The Eaton 1.9L blower makes more than enough boost but not too much torque for the beefy Magnum T56 6-speed transmission. Vaughn and the team at Level 7 Motorsports boxed, back-halved, and reinforced the frame and came up with a trick suspension that includes a custom 4-link with coil-over shocks and a sway bar from RideTech and modified front spindles to change the steering ratio and angle. It all adds up to one trick truck. Click on the video to watch Vaughn describe it in his own words!
